Since I was young, I've been obsessed with airplanes and flight. I have been designing, building and flying radio-controlled planes for over 10 years. Within the last 6 years, I've become heavily interested in all things rockets. When I entered my freshman year of college, I immediately joined a student organization called Liquid Rocketry Lab. Our goal is to send a liquid fueled rocket past 100 km. I spent a year as a member of the plumbing team, but then transitioned to the engine team beginning of my sophomore year to help with the design and manufacturability of the first engine. I was then offered the position of the engine principal engineer going into my senior year. I now lead a team of 11 undergraduate students to finish the design, analysis, manufacturing, and hot firing of our first engine by the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
I also got into photography a number of years ago. When the 2017 solar eclipse occured, I took my older brother's camera to take photos and I have been passionate about it ever since.
